Location:              Lakeland Union H.S. Minocqua

Hours:                    Part-Time – Mon-Fri 20-24 hours per week

Rate:                      Hourly Depending on qualifications

Requirements:      One year of experience as a center director, a child care teacher in a group care center or kindergarten, or as a licensee of a family child care center or satisfactory completion of a DCF approved course.

Duties:                   Provide ongoing orientation and on-site supervision of all personnel (including students and volunteers). On an ongoing basis plan, conduct, and evaluate a daily program of developmentally appropriate activities and learning experiences for children. Create opportunities to meet the changing needs of the developing child. Formulate weekly written curriculum plan. Maintain effective parent relations by daily communications and ongoing documentation about the child’s development in the program. Conduct conferences with families about the child’s development in the program. Maintain accurate, complete, and timely client and agency records; completes daily meal and attendance records, updates portfolios and children’s files. Must model the YMCA core values.

Location:              Youth Development Center-Rhinelander

Hours:                    6:30 am to 5:30 pm – Full or Part-time

Rate:                      $11.00 – $14.00 based on qualifications

Duties: Instruct children infants through preschool in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth. Completed, enrolled in, or willing to enroll in childcare courses to meet the State of Wisconsin Daycare Licensing Regulations. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50#, sit on the floor without support for up to an hour, walk 2-3 miles per day, reach, bend, crawl, twist, balance while providing custodial care of young children. Location:               YMCA Facility  – East Winnebago Street, Rhinelander

Hours:                   Full Time

Rate:                     $12 to $14 hourly depending on qualifications

Duties: Assists Director in carrying out their responsibilities to effectively manage the aquatics department in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include training employees; planning, and scheduling, planning, and implementation of in-service training. Teaches CPR-AED-First Aid classes for the community and Y staff. Duties: Keeping the YMCA buildings clean and in orderly condition. Perform cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing carpeting, washing walls and glass, cleaning bathrooms and locker room facilities, removing rubbish, and doing laundry. Must model the YMCA core values.

Rate:                     $9.00 hourly

Requirements: Lifeguard Certification Necessary. CPR and First Aid Certification training provided.

Duties: Lifeguard must monitor swimmers both on the deck and in the water and provide assistance and protection when necessary. Candidates must be 15 years of age, able to demonstrate 300 yards continuous swim using front crawl and breaststroke, tread water for 2 minutes without using arms, and be able to retrieve a 10lb weight from 7 feet of water. Must model the YMCA core values. If 18 years of age will qualify for training to lifeguard at beachfront.

Duties: Duties include teaching swim lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines to individuals of all ages, follow lesson plans, and complete progress reports/certificates for participants. Applicants must have a strong swimming background and stamina, demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, and be dependable. Candidates must be 15 years of age. Fitness Coach

Duties: This position will be providing members and guests, with resources to build effective fitness programs, and ensure proper use of equipment. A degree or background in recreation, fitness, physical education, or related field is highly recommended, along with an understanding of the basics of strength, cardiovascular, flexibility, and personal training. We will consider training for the right candidate. This person must also possess a high level of maturity, enthusiasm, self-direction, and model the YMCA core values

After/Before School Teacher

Adventure Alley Caregiver

Duties:               Caregiver to care for infants and toddlers in our drop-in babysitting room.  Must like children and be comfortable with group infants – 5 years.  Should have babysitter background or experience working with young children in order to occupy and make their time interesting and fun. Must be able to lift up to 25# regularly and play on the floor and on small furniture.  This person must possess a high level of maturity, enthusiasm and be reliable. Must be certified in CPR and First Aid or gain completion of certifications within 90 days of employment Must model the YMCA core values.
