Competitive Team

The competitive team is by invitation only.  Those interested in the competitive team will need to express interest and be evaluated by the lead instructor.  The level of expectation is higher for competitive team members.  Participation during the season is expected with excused absences (sickness, family, or school obligations) accepted. Practices will be 2-3 days a week during the season. The competitive team meets year-round with scheduled breaks in the summer and over holidays and school breaks.  The competitive season can run from September through May, with approximately one meet a month on a weekend starting in October.  Not every meet is required, however, once registered for a meet the fee isn’t refundable. The intent is to keep meet locations as close as possible, with Rhinelander, Medford, Marshfield, Wausau, WI Rapids, and Stevens Point being common locations.

Competitive team has additional costs, with meet fees (ranging from $40-$100) and leotard costs (ranging from $30-$150).  Scholarships and fundraising opportunities may be available.

Competitive team members and families are expected to participate in supporting the program by working at gymnastics meets or assisting at events.  With full participation, this can be one or two meets/events a year.

Pre-competitive Team

The pre-competitive team is by invitation only.  Those interested in the pre-competitive team will need to express interest and be evaluated by the lead instructor.  The level of expectation is higher for pre-competitive team members.  Participation during the season is expected with excused absences (sickness, family, or school obligations) accepted. Practices will be with the competitive team 1-2 days a week from September through May.  The pre-competitive team meets year-round with scheduled breaks in the summer, over holidays, and during school breaks. We want to make sure everyone on the team is prepared both physically and mentally to join the competitive team, so it might take a year or longer to advance to the competition level.
