Join the YMCA of the Northwoods in celebrating values vital to our community’s future by nominating a teen who is making a difference in the lives of others. The Y Teen Character Award recognizes teens that demonstrate the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Teachers, counselors, coaches, neighbors, family, and friends are just a few examples of individuals who are encouraged to nominate teens to receive a Y Teen Character Award. Please nominate a teen who meets the following criteria or pass this information on to any individuals you think would know of a possible nominee.
Nominations for the 2023 Awards are now open. If you are looking to nominate, please provide as much detail as possible. For many nominees, you are the reason they get selected as we do not know them personally. Remember they are going up against the best of the best in the area. We select based on your writing and the school verifying that they are eligible for the award.
