Stoney Pines Trail

Community Donated, Community Used Our Stoney Pines Trail is the most beautiful in the county and has something to offer to all ages. The Kiwanis Club donated the manpower, material and time and dedicated our beautiful trail to Hal Berndt. Free to everyone, the crush granite trail winds through tall Jack Pine, past our local Cub Scouts butterfly garden, and out into a field that will lead you to a 'serenity labyrinth' which the Rhinelander Women's Club donated. The trail is 3/4 of a mile in the woods and if you walk out to Highway 17, use the sidewalk to walk in front of the Y and walk back to the trail head, you have walked a mile. See the map below for more details. Stroller and toddler friendly, families love this trail for a walk with their children and to teach them about nature. Our Stoney Pines Trail is also used for Geocaching, snowshoeing, skiing, and our famous fall Halloween Trail Extravaganza! Fit Trail Stations

| Labyrinth The Rhinelander Women’s Club donated the funds to create the beautiful labyrinth which is located at the front of the YMCA. A labyrinth allows the user to meditate without concern as to where they are walking by following the gravel path winding around until you walk to the center. You can then turn around and meditate/walk out to the beginning. |
