Camp Adventure
For children ages 4-12
Northland Pines Middle School
Camp Adventure is a summer-long weekly day camp which incorporates the Y’s core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility into theme activities, field trips, games, arts & crafts and more! Summer camp is one of those few places where children learn who they really are and who they can become. Our camp gives children the opportunity to learn, grow and have fun in a safe, caring environment surrounded by committed staff, handpicked for their dedication to children and the camp experience. We are excited to provide your child with an experience free from negativity that emphasizes the inherent worth of every child.
Grow with us at Camp Adventure!
This summer we will offer themed activities focused around the Northland Pines Community Garden. Y staff and founder of the Northland Pines Community Garden will provide learning activities and hands-on gardening experience for the children at the Y Summer Day Camp Program. These activities will span the summer. The children will have hands-on experience with sustainable gardening, organic gardening, healthy eating and food preservation. Activities will take place daily at Camp Adventure with excursions to the Community Garden. Seed to Seed Edible Gardening Project, Vilas County Master Gardeners, Vilas County Public Health, and the University of Wisconsin Extension will provide teachers and/or materials for the summer camp.
Weekly field trips are incorporated into camp as well as beach days, games and arts & crafts
As parents look for opportunities to keep their kids active and busy this summer, the YMCA of the Northwoods—Eagle River Branch reminds caregivers that summer day camp is among the best options for engaging kids in activities that will help develop their spirit, mind and body, while getting them outdoors in a safe environment.
Children arrive for camp between 7:00 and 9:00AM with theme activities beginning at 9:00AM. Children may be picked up anytime between 4:30 – 5:30PM.
